Dr. Michelle Hure Talks Sunscreen

You’re vaccinated and ready to hit the sand, take the boat out or just have a picnic. But before you do, you need to hear what Dr. Michelle Hure has to say about sunscreen and sun protection.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, when used as directed, sunscreen is proven to: Decrease your risk of skin cancers and skin precancers. Regular daily use of SPF 15 sunscreen can reduce your risk of developing squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) by about 40 percent, and lower your melanoma risk by 50 percent.

As a cancer survivor, I believe prevention is the key to longevity and good health. That’s why I had to share this Arizona AM segment with you featuring one of my favorite people, Dr. Michelle Hure.

Dr. Hure is double board certified in dermatopathology and anatomic pathology, specializing in skin cancer as well as cosmetic dermatology. She is the owner of OC SkinLab in San Juan Capistrano, California.

She contributed a post, here, about Hand Skincare and Treatments and here she talks about why she doesn’t want to be hugged even though she’s vaccinated.

Do you wear sunscreen? Do you have a favorite self-tanner? I’d love to learn from you.
